Liposuction

Liposuction

Liposuction is an extremely effective method in getting rid of fat from those parts of the body that are difficult to carve with training. If the hours spent at the gym and thousands of calories burned do not bring the desired results, consider a more effective solution. One that will deal with local fat deposits once and for all and give your a slim and shapely outline figure. It is this body shaping procedure that helps you achieve your dream shape in places that until now were discreetly masked by loose clothing.

For whom?

Liposuction will be the most effective and safe in healthy people, with a stable weight. To ensure long-lasting effects, it is also important to follow the diet and a healthy lifestyle after the procedure. Areas that can be sculpted using liposuction are:

  • Belly and waist
  • Hips, sides and buttocks
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Calves and around the knees
  • Upper and lower back
  • Arms
  • Chin

Depending on the area covered by the procedure and the planned effects, the plastic surgeon will choose the appropriate technique. It is also possible to simultaneously transplant the removed adipose tissue to other parts of the body.

Liposuction – before surgery

Before undergoing liposuction surgery, it is crucial to choose the right technique, discuss the patient’s expectations and confront them with the effects that can be achieved. Therefore, a reliable, initial consultation that will dispel all doubts and fears is crucial. During the course, the doctor will also get acquainted with the patient’s medical history, thanks to which he will be sure that the surgery can be carried out in a safe manner. The physician, answering all questions and doubts of the patient, will ultimately qualify the patient for the procedure.

What does the liposuction surgery look like?

Liposuction can be performed using local or general anesthesia, depending on the area covered and the amount of adipose tissue. Small incisions on the skin allow the insertion of the cannula directly into the desired place and suction of unnecessary tissue. After completing this stage, the doctor models the places covered by the liposuction, giving them the desired shape. After removing the cannula, a small dressing is sufficient and the healing process is extremely fast. The patient returns home usually on the same day. In most cases, a longer stay in a hospital is not required.

If the patient decides to transplant the removed adipose tissue to a different place (e.g. breast, buttocks or face), the treatment will take place on the same day. The adipose tissue will be cleaned and prepared for transplantation, and then injected into the selected places. This stage does not usually require anesthesia and is performed in a short time.

Recovery

After liposuction surgery, swelling and edema may appear in the treatment areas, which, thanks to the modern technology used, disappear within the next few days. Return to daily activities usually takes place within 3-4 days. The aesthetic effects are visible after a few weeks, when the body regenerates after the treatment, and the skin gets used to the new shape of the body. The patient returns home the same day. Due to the fact that fat cells are removed from the body, liposuction is considered a permanent cosmetic procedure. However, its results may be disturbed by the hypertrophy of remaining adipose tissue. One of the main medical recommendations is to maintain the right weight after the procedure. It is advisable to follow a properly balanced diet and regular physical activity.
